Toxic Barbecue Music Video

I created all the graphics in Blender and Krita on linux, after a full day of shooting in a London green screen studio with Cam Shuck Productions. Most of the video was made in 3 weeks over my Christmas break, with some work during weekends as well.

Wrote a little python pipeline to allow for 4k keyed plates directly in the blender viewport, as well as rendering automation. It’s all using the realtime evee rendering - and rendering the whole video takes less than an hour (mostly because of hard drive read speed for the plates)

Used ML for the keying and found it very lacking, but the cutout effect kind of works for this project.

Used a browser script I found on github to download every possible mixamo animation for our digital avatars, and then wrote a little pipeline for loading them into blender in a sane manner.

Subscribe to the channel and you will see me re-use all these scenes and more for Youtube shorts so that we can get more visibility from the content! I can only post one link in this post because I’m a new user, but you can check the youtube channel and our instagram for the short form reels we are making with the assets. All made in blender of course!

I’m considering creating a making of to show how we made this… would anybody be interested in that?

Hope you enjoy!

The music video!
