The Lion King - Fireflies

For this sequence I animated the firefly and bug behaviours. All animation was done in Houdini, with a custom flocking solver I wrote in vex. The solver was able to handle takeoff and landing for insects, and some of the fireflies land on the tree, crawl around, and then takeoff again.
